Free Workshops
Circuit bending with Kevin Meredith and Rebecca "Doc" Mercuri - Bring
your own cheap musical toys and noisemakers and turn them into bizarre
electronic instruments in this fascinating "anti-theory" workshop.
Requires use of a soldering iron, so younger mad scientists will need
adult supervision. Equipment and parts for bending, as well as a number
of toys for bending will be available. Example "bent" instruments will
also be demonstrated. Participants will be able to take their creations
home free of charge. Seating is limited to 15 people per each of two session.
Richard Lainhart will perform for 40 minutes, showing 4 short films and accompany them. He’ll talk about the performance and the films afterwards. Here are some photos from Richard’s performance at the Netmage 2010 festival in Bologna, Italy, on January 23: http://www.noctivagamusica.altervista.org/lainahrt_foto_w.html)
